Now that hurricane season is over, are you properly covered? We were all very lucky that Hurricane Matthew passed us. It’s the perfect time to make sure you have the appropriate coverage for the upcoming hurricane season. Hurricane Season is from June 1st – November 30th.
It is very important to do an annual review of your policy and coverage limits to make sure everything is current and accurate.
Please contact us for a thorough policy review! Also it’s good to be aware of your deductibles and dwelling coverage, especially for windstorm. We can take the time to go over your entire policy with you.
As Hurricane Matthew approached Florida, we received many phone calls from customers wanting to increase their policy coverage. At that time it was too late to make any changes. Insurance carriers are smart and don’t allow changes when a storm is already approaching. Many carries even have a 30 day waiting period.
It’s best to be prepared for the possible hurricanes & many times tornados that go along with them far in advance.
Flood coverage is also important to consider since Homeowners Policies do NOT cover Flood Damage.
